Must-See Natural Wonders On Kangaroo Island

There is probably no place in Australia, other than Kangaroo Island, where you can get so close to wildlife in their natural environment. More than a third of the island is protected, allowing visitors access to a world-class natural experience. It is possible to travel the island with your own vehicle or by joining a guided tour. Here are 3 Must-See Natural Wonders on Kangaroo Island:
  • Flinders Chase National Park: this huge park of 33,000 hectares is located in the far west of the island. Do not miss the two rock formations of Remarkable Rocks and Admirable Arch where seals basking in the sun abound. With its wildlife and its many hiking trails, the park is the perfect destination for nature lovers. During our visit we were lucky enough to see a whale breaching over a dozen times!
  • Kelly Hill Conservation Park: this park hosts a beautiful cave system discovered in 1881. The caves are accessible via guided tours throughout the day. Inside, they are lit using fibre-optic white light technology so you can admire the stunning colors of the walls. For an experience perhaps even more memorable, book an Adventure Caving Tour.
  • Seal Bay: this beach hosts one of the largest colonies of sea lions in Australia. Several tour options are available. Accompanied by a guide, it is possible to walk on the beach and get very close to the animals. It is impossible to remain indifferent to the charm of these adorable little creatures. An experience that will not be forgotten anytime soon!
